Strengths Nice except for PTO. Has HST, 4wd & loader. Easy to operate.

Weaknesses PTO problems since day 1, 2005. Back to dealer 3 times.

Overall I would not recommend if using PTO. I am on my way to trade for a JD.

Strengths smooth, sips fuel, the financing at year end is phenomenal; zero % for 5 years. Does everything I ask and fits into the tight places I need it to go. Oh and the stuff I read about the backhoe was solved years ago. It is on a separate subframe and will not work the axle casing. It is very beefy, works great and is 2 seconds to take off.

Weaknesses It's not a full sized machine (which I did not want) but the saying is true about which ever tractor size you buy you'll wish for a bigger one! I wish the 4in1 bucket was twice the size for bulky loads. (It's probably safer as is though!) Oh yeah, I wanted a green tractor and despite this one being better I still like green... maybe I should get a custom black metal flake paint job with gold pinstriping!!! Pauley Equipt. does do this for people.

Overall This is a great tractor. Powerful, smooth engine, a piece of cake to operate. The hydrostatic transmission is fabulous.

Strengths Does every thing I ask of it. Easy to operate.

Weaknesses None that I have found other than jerky 3 point hitch. Was aware of this when I bought it. It's a nuisance but no real problem.

Overall I very reliable machine. Excellent value. Perhaps would like a bit more power, but so far, it has done everything I need. Great dealer support (New Holland; Abilene TX)

Weaknesses rear differnal housing will crack from stress of backhoe..they say it has to have a subframe,,no one told me of a subframe, to it was to late..called kubota customer service,, wha a joke,,quality service went out the door,,they do not care,,bushhog people were nice,, but no help they do not care,,beshears will they were very nice,,give me a good price to fix it,,but the hold thing,,iam going to have to fix something that is not of my doing,, if beshears would i told me about a subframe,,i would have had it there, and not have to face this,,so watch out if you are buying a kubota with a bushhog brand backhoe,,make sure you get the subframe,,,o yes kubota told me that was normal wear,,if that is so the tractor is not very dependable is it, just to last 4 years,,,no i think not,that is not normal wear,, that is a weak place in tractor,i think kubota, bushhog, behsears should help in this ,,to make right,,for i knew nothing of a subframe,,till now...

Strengths

Weaknesses don't even think of using a 3-pt ho or brush hog without a rear reinforcement bracket. I tore a large piece out of the rear housing when going through a large pot hole and the ho bounced $5,600.00 in repairs, Also the shift boot is a bad design. I have put on 3 in 4 years.

Overall I love the tractor, but Kubota should step up to the plate and make this right.

Strengths I bought my L2800 with ag tires and gear transmission. These two features are key for delivering maximum power and torque. I use my tractor to operate a small produce farm. It pulls a 2 bottom plow, 6' disk, 5" bush hog, and 2 row corn planter with power to spare. It is rugged, easy to operate and delivers outstanding fuel economy under heavy engine load. Have had ZERO mechanical problems with the tractor. I blead green (JD) and thjis is the only color tractor I would own other that a JD.

Weaknesses Only weaknesses I have found is weight, no live PTO, and no tool box.

Overall This tractor is built to farm with. As long is it is operated within it's limits and carefully maintained it will give years of dependable service. It reminds me of an 8N on steroids!

Strengths Very powerful for its size, power steering and 4wd is an awesome feature. Just smooth running no hickups what so ever.

Weaknesses tractor weight a little lite.

Overall Super fun to operate, upgraded from a Ford Jubilee, just hope it lasted as long as my Jubilee.

Strengths Works great until it breaks

Weaknesses The weight of the backhoe caused the rear differential case to break. We went to the dealer and found out this isn't an isolated case. Dealer said that he's asked Kubota in the past and they have refused to help with the cost of fixing it. Sounds like a design flaw to me. Seems like the backhoe should be attached to something sturdy like the frame, not the casing (especially given that the casing is only 3/8-inch thick).

Overall A great tractor until it breaks. Didn't even last to 200 hours!
