Strengths Have L3400 HST. 2010 w L463 loader. Also have skid steer att. On loader. Added box blade and extra 630#. I enlargef pond .and could back uphill with bucket loadef. With dirt removed I made pile 60'by 40'by 6' high. Took about 60 hours. Geatest time to get to know tractot and develope techniqes to be most efficient. Also built 3-point att for skid steer att. Now can put forks and other att on front of tractor. Love hydrostat tran. Great for mowing and also to ease into digging without overspinning tires
Weaknesses Seat got uncomfortable. Solved that with pillow
Overall One great tractor and 0 percent financing sealed the deal. Also had opportunity to try a reffered customers tractor. A cab would be nice but would probably cut down visibility.

Overall PURCHASED THIS TRACTOR FOR WORKING ON A HUNTING CLUB CUTTING FIELDS AND DISKING. HAVE CUT A COUPLE OF THREE ACRE FIELDS WITH IT AND IT PERFORMED VERY WELL. THE FEL IS THE HANDIEST THING . I HAVE BEEN USING IT PRETTY MUCH AS A BULL DOZER AND IT WILL SUPRISE YOU AT WHAT IT WILL DO. ITS BIG ENOUGH TO DO MOST ANYTHING I WANT TO AND SMALL ENOUGH TO HAUL AROUND ON A TRAILER .

Strengths I USE MY TRACTOR FOR SNOW REMOVAL (BOX BLADE) , MOVING LARGE ROCKS (400 LBS.), GRADING, DIRT REMOVAL, AND HAVE HAD ONLY ONE SMALL HYDRAULIC LEAK FROM A 5" HOSE ON THE RIGHT SIDE JUST BELOW THE HYDROSTATIC PEDAL. i PURCHASED IT IN 2005 FOR 19k AND I WOULDN'T BUY ANY OTHER TRACTOR. IT IS A REAL WORKHORSE AND PERFORMS FLAWLESSLY.

Overall Sometimes I wish I had a 50 Hp for lifting large rocks but this little tractor does almost everthing I ask it to do with very little groaning.

Strengths 2006 L3400DT (gear),with FEL.4 1/2 years and 1550 hours.I use this beast of burden in my one tractor business. Bushhogging, gravel drivewAy work, landscape grading, logs limbs and debris removal, and disking/roto-tilling. It does everything I call on it to do, and I push it very hard. One bearing and gear failure in front wheel assembly at 1400 hrs is the only repair. Burns little fuel and no oil. Still no leaks!
Weaknesses Always been hard to shift to hi range. Lift a little jerky, but strengths make weaknesses go away!
Overall I get about 150% of what it was designed to do. The power/ size ratio lets me work in tight places and still do all I need to do in open spaces. This is my first Kuboa, and at age 71, probably my last but it is a joy to work.

Strengths HP, weight, powersteering, 4wd, hst.
The tractor will do an amazing amount of work, I hind it very servicable, and user friendly.
Weaknesses engaging the PTO---- with the HST it is very easy to forget to push the clutch down before engaging the PTO. Going to have to get used to that.
Overall Well worth the money and it will be a huge labor savor for me out on my small farm. I looked at all the brands but settled on Kubota. Originnally wanted the L2800 but after discussing my needs with the dealer he advised the L3400 because of the added HP, but same physical size. I took his advice and I think it was a wise decission.

Strengths Follow-up to review originally submitted on 4-4-2009. Still very pleased.
Weaknesses I got the industrial tires as a compromise. I had hoped for good traction, with minimal damage to turf when mowing. I would strongly discourage anyone from getting the industrial tires if snow removal is planned. Even in 4WD chains are essential with these tires.

Strengths With
Weaknesses My Kubota had a jerky three point, but I kept bugging the dealer and after a year and a half, they fixed it. They put in a new valve and now it works fine. There's no tool box so I put an ammo can on the fender and it works great.
Overall I've had the tractor for 3 years and haven't had any problems (but the jerky three point)with it. I wonder how I've done without it all these years. It makes any job around the farm so much easier and faster.
