Strengths Powerful backhoe,Light enough to easily transport.I have dug plenty of 2'x5' deep trenches with this little guy!

Weaknesses exposed hose connections under loader. Not enough GPM on the hydraulics to run a decent size auger attachment.

Overall I love this tractor,We run a case 590sm also but this tractor is so versatile and tows like a dream !!!!!

Strengths Extremely easy to operate both Bucket and Back Hoe. Very Comfortable with Controls right where I need them. It makes a great Commercial Landscape Tractor. Low Profile for adverse terrain a major plus.

Weaknesses I'm a General Contractor and I wish it had more power. I should have bought the L-48. Have not been able to lift some important loads. It's my fault for not purchasing to meet need.

Overall This is an outstanding Tractor for my first purchase. I project it would be a great purchase for most for Light Commercial and any Homeowner!

Strengths The tractor is very easy to use.I like how they arranged the controls it makes it very user friendly.The hoe has awesome power and is very smooth.The loader control is located perfectly.

Weaknesses It does bogg down some when going into a pile of dirt.But it will lift alot of weight.

Overall I think it is a great tractor.I'm a contractor and it works perfectly for footings and flat work.The auto leveling valve is perfect for use with forks.

Strengths The backhoe is a brute. I am currently running the 24" trenching bucket and it is has amazing power.

Weaknesses The engine doesn't seem to lug like the engine in the L3650GST I traded in. Going into a pile of dirt cuaces the engine to really bog down.

Overall It's a great backhoe, I'm just not real satisfied with the engine. Also, MANY hydraulic cylinder leaks, relapced both outriggers cylinders on the hoe, both main and dump cylinders on the loader. Kinda dissapointing for a Kubota.

Strengths Improved overall design over the L35 as is honestly described in Kubota sales literature. Most important to me is the powerful hoe, and the ability to access the hoe without dismounting via a walk-through design. Also, the hoe can be operated while safely seat belted, under the canopy, using the reversed drivers' seat. Ample power from the 39hp 3 cylinder diesel for all intended tasks. Separate hydraulic pumps for hoe stabilizers and boom swing really do make a difference in performance: hard ground, stumps, and larger than average rock are handled easily. The loader is a dream, especially with its selectable self leveling scv, and easily reaches over the rail of my standard dump bed with

Weaknesses Kubota is stuck in the past with its venerable Glide Shift Transmission (GST)! The machine would be better served with an HST. Thankfully, they included a very efficient shuttle shift that takes some of the work out of operation. The loader bucket cylinder hose connectors are on the BOTTOM of the loader arm, and despite small guards, are vulnerable to damage if not careful when loading trucks. This needs to be fixed in future versions.

Overall Having owned an L35, I find the L39 to be far superior. There is little room for improvement in this machine, I recommend it to serious hobbists and pros alike. I sold my Deere 4610 E-Hydro with loader and hoe for this machine and don't regret it one bit.
