Strengths Goes anywhere, very stable, easy to operate, easy to service.
Weaknesses I can hardly say what the weaknesses are under normal conditions. I have put 1500 hours on this machine, running it to the max. I have a modified Landpride brush hog, with a 300# rotor, which I mow 100% hills and rocks with. So, this review may not be accurate for everyone, but here are the problems I've had with it:
Front wheel fell off, after bearings went out. Note: I have run this machine with the 3 foot logs on the forks, and a 2000# brush hog on the back, all balanced on the front axle. It's no surprise that this happened. After that, it was around freezing outside, and when we filled the front axle back up with the recommended 80W/90 gear oil, I waited for about an hour for the oil to run down, but it was still not nearly full. I wound up running the front differential out of oil for around 50 hours, because the recommended oil was too thick for this application. It has to go through an 1/8 inch slot in the differential to go to the other side. I replaced bevel gears and bearings as preventative maintenance.
I had to add a full-length bellypan to prevent oil lines from getting ripped off. Also had the oil pan cracked, but nothing a little epoxy doesn't fix.
It is a little underpowered at times, for running a brush hog on steep hills, and running the 11,000# winch. I am thinking of adding a turbocharger.
Many other small things I can't think of now, but nothing too major.
Extremely poor dealer support.
Overall Overall a good machine, I have no second thought about buying it. I would buy another Kubota.
