Strengths Great cab with heat and AC, EZ 3-pt. hookups, strong engine, intuitive controls, fantastic loader.

Weaknesses Fuel fill is kind of awkward for using 5 gal. cans. Rear tires need ballast in order to use the loader to max capacity.

Overall Second and best Kubota I've owned. I live at 6000 ft. elevation so the Turbo Diesel provides plenty of power. Its GREAT to blow snow from an enclosed, heated cab!!!

Strengths The HST drivetrain is excellent. I just traded my 2004 M9000 for this tractor and despite the L5240 not having a cab, I prefer it. The M9 had the shuttle on it, which was nice... but the HST offers so many options while working under different conditions (mowing, loader work) and with 6 ranges, I have had no problem adjusting to varying terrains. The 52 is just right- I would have purchased a 57 horse if they had it in stock- but I wouldnt get anything less than a 50 hp.

Overall I've had Fords, Cases, Masseys, Cats... and several other Kubotas. This tractor hands down is my favorite. I highly recommend the HST drive.
