Strengths Fuel economy, good cut, ride comfort, diesel, changes easily from forward to reverse, engine has plenty of power even when towing an aerator with a lot of weights on it.

Weaknesses Poor traction even with weights on rear wheels (if one drive wheel starts to spin, the other wheel stops turning completely), safety switch malfunctions can interfere with starting, mows in reverse but can leave clumps when doing so, anti-scalp wheels on mower deck are easy to bend or break, headlights are a complete joke, snow blower attachment is useless, difficult to get mower deck and snow blower attachments on or off.

Overall I might buy one of these again if the price was right but if I could find a comparable diesel from another manufacturer I would probably switch.

Strengths Real Good Mower when it is not is shop

Weaknesses Electic clutch pto has been replaced 3 times in less than 600 hours run time Kubota dealer kept in shop for 3 months and charged over $850 and still did not fix. the problem was the safety switch under the seat. Poor traction if not on level ground Lights do not give much light

Overall When in good order, This is eccelllent mower. However I have had to use backup mower to keep my grass mowed I won't purchase another Kubota

Strengths Mows so FAST that the neighbors think I'm racing around on a 4 Whleer!!!

Overall Great Machine could not ask for a better mower. No real issues yet, as long as we keep up the maintenance.

Strengths wide cut great pulling power. i have pulled a 16 foot trailer around the yard like it was nothing.

Weaknesses a little slow and the headlights are not bright enough

Overall love it but next one will be a G model as they are a little faster this is my first diesel and comparing to my old snapper it is 10000 times better

Strengths Power, Quiet, Great Diesel fuel economy, reliable, comfortable, gets the job done. My old gas mower used 2 gallons of gas per mow. The Kubota uses half a gallon of Diesel to do the same job. The blades hold their sharpness almost the whole mowing season for me.

Weaknesses Mulching kit makes a lot of dust- but we are in an exceptional drought condition.

Overall After 5 years of ownership I am still pleased with my Kubota TG1860D. I keep it maintained and clean and it has had no issues at all.

Strengths EASY TO GET ON AND OFF,and I am getting old.

Weaknesses WAS SLOW BUT DEALER RESET EVERYTHING AND NOW MOWING 4ac. IN LESS THAN TWO Hr. ALSO HAD A STARTING PROBLEM. DEALER INSTALLED A RELAY SWITCH FOR THE STARTER AND IT NOW STARTS EVEN IN ZERO WEATHER

Overall THE BEST TRACTOR YOU COULD POSSIBLY BUY The Headlights were not designed to see with and tail was non existant. Not to hard to install some that work.I LOVE IT !

Strengths Built very well. Diesel engine, when it CAN be started, runs flawlessly. Economical to run (again, WHEN it runs - see Overall comments below).

Weaknesses Electrical system (see Overall comments below), difficult to service rear fuel filter, grease fitting on drive shaft impossible to fit with a grease gun, mowing deck, shall we say, challenging to put back on (it's fairly easy to remove). Too slow, and the traction is poor over hilly terrain when it is even slightly wet.

Overall This tractor has been plagued with electrical issues since day one. It is now out of warranty yet none of the issues have ever been resolved by the dealer. We believe most of the electrical problems are related to the safety switches and starting motor. There is also an electrolysis issue going on with the positive battery terminal which may or may not be related. I spent over two hours filling out a survey on Kubota's web site but when I called to confirm they said it was blank, then refused to send out another survey for "security" reasons. Will defintely NOT buy another Kubota product if this is how their customer support and dealership behaves.

Strengths Comfort, big deck, absorbs bumps. Quiet diesel motor. Fuel economy. Starts easy. Cuts deep grass without bogging down. Built like a tank. Mows in reverse.

Weaknesses Hydraulic deck lift would be nice. A little tricky getting the deck installed. Thought it would be a little faster in mowing speed but I have a rough 1.5 acres so not a big deal. Hydrostatic drive a little touchy.

Overall Best lawn tractor I've owned. Nothing is comparable in gasoline.

Strengths Has performed flawlessly since new 1998! Cuts beautifully and also use it to haul empty boat trailers around property.

Weaknesses None noted in 500 hours!

Overall In my opinion you just can't find a better built Lawn machine!!
