Strengths This tractor is the worst excuse for a tractor I have ever seen it has only one strength and that is ease of use when it isn't in the shop.

Weaknesses It has nothing but weaknesses.

Overall This tractor had had nothing but problems, hydraulic lines leaking in factory welds, rear-end came out at 250 hrs front end came out at 480hrs. Loader control valve started pouring fluid at 100 hrs. Basically a piece of junk and the tractor was 3 months out of warranty when the front-end came out after at least 4 recorded warranty problems including rear-end. Massey Ferguson said there was nothing they could do about the front end it was out of warranty. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MASSEY FERGUSON SELLS. Do not be attracted buy the great financing deals they offer it is the only way they can sell there junk.

Weaknesses The entire tractor is a weakness

Overall It is easy to operate and confortable but that is all that is good about this tractor. The rear-end went out with 300 hours and then the front end went out at 500 hours. There have been so many other problems there is not room here to list them. So if you see one of these nice tractor sitting somewhere and it catches you eye, turn your head and run.

Weaknesses too many to list. Have had problems with it since day one.

Overall Would not buy a Massey again

Strengths This tractor has done everything asked of it. Great power and economy. Has some features and capabilities not found on John Deere and others. Do your research and you'll be buying a Massey Ferguson tractor!

Weaknesses None so far except in cold weather ,seat safety switch does'nt like to work. I just bypassed it.

Overall Love this tractor!! Used to own a J.D. 750. This tractor is far better and a better value than a J.D. replacement.

Strengths Has more than enough power to get all jobs done but compact enough to get in tight spots.turn radius perfect. excellent support from dealers parts very affordable,and readily availible.

Weaknesses Fuel Cutoff solenoid went out at 108 hrs other than that no other problems noted.

Overall great buy,great tractor.

Strengths good strong tractor i like the way that the loader contrls are easy to reach

Weaknesses the filters are hard to find and are very expensive also i havent even had the tractor a year yet and it wont stay in 4wd

Overall it a good tractor but if i had it to do again i would get a kubota

Strengths Power, lifting ability, ease of operation

Weaknesses The FEL controls take a little getting used to and could be placed better (when turned to look behind, my right knee will knock the FEL control and make the bucket do things without my knowledge, making for unfortunate events -- in time I will learn to pay better attention to what my nee is doing). FEL control know comes off the stick too easilly.

Overall This tractor replaced a GC2300 that was just too small for real farm work. So far, this tractor is doing everything I need it to do, is easy to operate (my paraplegic wife operates it more comfortably than the GC2300 with no modifications).

Strengths very roomy, very user friendly.handles very well and is great for farm use.

Weaknesses only had two problems with the tractor so far 1 year after purchess the motor blew with approx 200 hrs on it the cam shaft broke in half, but the company put a new motor in it and its ran great since. the other problem is the tackometer quit working.the front end loader seems to be a little short of reach.

Overall even though i had some problems i still think its a great little tractor. and i would buy another one. the parts and filters are very expensive, and sometimes hard to get at least here in oklahoma.

Strengths Transmission Shuttle shift is a dream especially baling hay in small hay feilds. I got the cab with AC that freezes you out on a hot day and is also a great thing when baling hay. I pulled 3 bottom 14" plow with out any problems in black heavy clay hard soil. I and some others tractor guys watching were very impressed with the pulling power. The tractor is very quiet and feels very solid and strong. It handles nice at high speeds and is compfortable to drive.

Weaknesses I wish the fuel tank was bigger. But I spend long days in the hay feilds baling hay using a Star Mini compact hay baler. I also wish it had a draft control on the three point hitch.

Overall My future wife likes the tractor so much she took claim to it and now I'm back in the heat dust etc on a Deere 4200 2wd. If you get one of these tractors and you there may be a woman involved...I suggest you get two or don't let her get near it.

Strengths Smooth running, fairly quiet, nice looking rubber floor mat, knobs and handles. Push button pto engage with soft engage option is nice.

Weaknesses Problems Problems Problems.....owned six months (100 hours), been in the shop 3 times. (wet) Brakes SOMEHOW squeel when applied in reverse. Hydraulic pump, lines, filter and filter manifold have all been replaced. Hydraulic pump sputters making loader and 3 point shake and bounce around while in use. Dealer states many units come in doing this for routine maintenance but their owners appearently don't mind it or know any better.I could go on.....

Overall If you see and 1500 series Iseki built Massey tractor that catches your eye......keep driving. I tried to trade this unit back in at the same dealer for a 543 massey and was offered $5000 less than I paid six months earlier. (it's immaculate) I owned two Kioti tractors before this one with no problems on either. Both had great trade in value as well.
