Strengths THE STEINER HAS GREAT TRACTION IN SNOW, UP HILLS, IN LOOSE SOIL.HAS MANY ATTACHMENTS THAT WORK WELL AND ATTACH FAST.HAS THE MOWING DECK OUT FRONT SO YOU CAN MOW UNDER TREE AND SCHRUBS IN A SNAP.SAVES ON TRIMMING.

Weaknesses A BIT UNDER POWERED.I HAD A LOT OF METAL BREAKAGE DO TO POOR DESIGN, BUT I UNDERSTAND THEY HAVE CHANGED A FEW THINGS THINGS SINCE 1987.

Overall A DARN GOOD WORKING MACHINE AND I HAVE HAD A COUPLE OF THEM.I WOULD STILL BUY ANOTHER ONE FOR MY BUSINESS.

Strengths maneuverability, power, hydrostatic transmission The design seems robust and simple enough that I could fix somtehing on it, unlike newer cars these days.

Weaknesses I've had two flats on two different tires on the tractor and two flats, then a new wheel on one of the deck wheels. It's old and used, I guess.

Overall I wasn't sure about the articulating format, but it's been great so far. We just moved to a log home with an acre of grass and another 10 of trees. We heat with wood. I've never had a tractor before and wanted something to both mow and haul firewood up/down the steep hills. With a little wagon, I'm set. The salesman said people who buy Steiners will never settle for anything else ever again. I'm in that camp now.
