Strengths Cut my lawn and moved tons of snow and dirt for close to 8 yrs. Living close to Lillehammer in Norway, and has a four season year, with every kind of challenge on my small farm with the Ventrac 3000. Problem with Norway is pricing, tax and all. But the value of allround use and quality is worth the money i paid.

Weaknesses Price in Norway

Overall Driven for over 600 hrs. and still going strong :-)

Strengths For 8 years now I Mow 4+ acres with a 60" deck and have no problems other than a deck pully bearing and a pto idler bearing. Have literally moved tons of dirt with a 30" bucket and a 5' blade. A single stage snow blower clears my 60 X 60 driveway plus the neighbors with no issues at all and the cab alowes me to do it in my slippers if I'm in a hurry.

Weaknesses Haven't found it yet

Overall Purchased it from Messingers in East Bethany, Purchased from Messingers in East Bethany, NY and have never regreted it.

Strengths Terrific power. Easy to use. Implements are easy to exchange. Very heavy duty equipment. Very compact for ease of storage.

Weaknesses All Ventracs and Steiners suffer from a weak central bearing unit. You'll need to monitor this; replacing takes some patience but is doable.

Overall I wouldn't trade it for any equipment I've seen or run.

Strengths This tractor is unlike anything else I've ever owned. I mow lawns with it. I move dirt with it. I snowblow with it and I can't use it enough. I'm always on that machine and if I could, I would never get off it. I've had no problems with it and expect that it will outlive me. This tractor is built the way equipment used to be built. Heavy steel, almost no plastic, no glitz and glamour. Just built to work and built to last.

Weaknesses Absolutely no weakness.

Overall I wouldn't trade my Ventrac for anything. Anybody looking for a compact tractor should certainly look at Ventracs. They may look small, but they can do anything larger tractors can do. Plus, my Ventrac is easy to get around with, has a tight turning radius, and doesn't dig up the turf.

Strengths Mows great. No lawn damage from wheel scuff, ever. Swaps implements in a minute or so. All wheel drive lets me throw away those old tire chains I had for winter use on the last tractor. Climbs like a billy goat - with turf tires, I can stop midway down the steepest hill on our property, then back up the hill if I want, all with no damage to the turf. Moves cubic yards of dirt, gravel, mulch like a charm. We have a very large compost heap, the scoop lets me turn it over in a few minutes.

Weaknesses None.

Overall Was not cheap, but well within the range seen for other tractors with similar capabilities. Its a dream to use. I only wish we'd bought it a few years ago.

Strengths Amazing stability on slopes, excellent cut quality, manuverability is excellent, traction, soft on the turf, strength of hydraulics

Weaknesses No functional weaknesses. Odd looking design. Poorly written & poorly illustrated instructions. Had a minor short circuit with the headlight.

Overall I purchased the 3000 as a dedicated mower because of some steep hills but found that the Ventrac 3000 performs well beyond my expectations. I mow about 5 acres of hilly tree filled land and our mowing time has been reduced by about 90 minutes a week. The quality of cut is much better than we got from our old garden tractor with no scalping, even on uneven ground. The slip scoop has proved to be more useful than imagined, digging ability exceeded expectations. (I have owned the Ventrac 3000 for 5 months, about 50 hours on the machine)
