Strengths Clean and tight tractor with 500 hours on it. No leaks at all. Very strong and good running machine. Nice joystick loader control. Heavy and powerful enough for anything I think I will need to do.

Weaknesses Brakes don't stop the tractor fast enough. There doesn't seem to be air in the lines, the brake adjustment seems good and the hand brake works better so maybe the hydraulic brake cylinders aren't strong enough? Does anyone have any knowledge of the solution to this problem?

Overall Overall this is the best deal I could find on a tractor like this and a friend is a fan of the Czech Republic manufacturing quality. It's got enough hours on it to tell me it has been used sufficiently and it is still doing well so far, but I haven't had it long enough say myself.

Strengths Heavy tractor 4340, able to knock over trees 6-8" and pull up by roots with bucket. Stack big round bales 3 high, 4X4, love the mech shuttle w/ 10 speeds fwd/rev. I have picked the rearend of the tractor off ground with front hydraulic. Not bad for power. Has hydraulic magnet w/ filter. Would buy another but this will probably last my lifetime.

Weaknesses Headlights covered when endloader is on, Wish I had cab but aluminum cover isn't bad. Not much bad i can say about this tractor. Neigbor bought a 4320 2wd and has regretted it ever since. Get the 4X4. He is unable to put out round bales w/ loader when ground is muddy. just digs trenches. Had to pull him up a hill to get him out of his pond because he kept slipping down.

Overall 4340 is great tractor for money. uses JD filters and is made by John Deere in cezh.

Strengths Zetor 4340 - excellent value (dollar per HP) for what I need to do. tractor is fairly heavy and stable with good lifting capacities. past tractors have been two wheel drive, this one is four wheel drive and I love it. I have loaded semi trailers two bid round bales high and two wide with no problem at all. I can carry a 4 X 5 1/2 bale front and back through a pretty steep banked creek and have no problem

Weaknesses Hydraulics may be a bit slow, but not too bad. Shifters can get in the way until you get used to their location. Headlights are covered by bucket with Front end loader.

Overall I was looking to stretch my dollar and didn't really have a favorite color of tractor (Green, Blue or Orange). Given what I know almost three years later, I'd buy the Zetor 4340 again (maybe with a cab if I had the extra cash).
